Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 4 August 2026
These terms govern your use of CareerNote. By purchasing or using the service you agree to them.
Who we are
CareerNote is operated by CAREERNOTE CO.,LTD., registered at 218, 26 Cheongnyangniri-ro, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea, Business Registration Number 899-86-03610. The representative is Myeongho Son.
You can reach us at son@careernote.io or +82-10-4944-9352 (Mon–Fri, 10:00–18:00 KST).
What CareerNote is
CareerNote is self-serve software. You upload a résumé, the software generates an editable draft portfolio from that input, and you review and edit it before exporting a PDF.
CareerNote does not provide consulting, coaching, résumé writing, or any other human-delivered service. No person at CareerNote writes or reviews your content.
The output is a draft. You are responsible for checking it for accuracy before you send it to anyone. CareerNote makes no representation about employment outcomes, interviews or offers.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload and of the portfolio you export. You grant us only the licence needed to process your files and deliver the service to you.
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it is accurate and about you.
Purchases
A portfolio costs $20 as a one-time purchase. This is not a subscription and nothing renews automatically.
You must accept these terms and our Refund Policy before payment is taken.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders.
Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, described in full in our Refund Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not upload content about someone other than yourself without their permission, upload unlawful material, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.
Closing your account and deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, or by emailing son@careernote.io.
Deleting your account removes your uploaded files and generated portfolios from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to keep transaction records for tax and accounting purposes.
Portfolio PDFs you have already downloaded remain yours and are unaffected.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect, and the date above will change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and its courts have jurisdiction. This does not remove protections you have under the consumer law of your own country of residence.
